Workshop Description: It is imperative that child welfare professionals are educated about the science of early childhood development and its application to practice.  This training will focus on trauma and its effect on children and families; brain development; and effective intervention strategies for children.  The marriage of law and science applied to work in juvenile court must inform judicial decision making to ensure the well-being of children and families.

Six credits of CLE/CEUs will be approved for the session.  A participant fee of $20 will cover lunch. refreshments and training materials.
