Unmasking Their Potential, Fall 2010 A conference for parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and anyone else interested in making a difference in the lives of students with dyslexia. October 2, 2010Lincoln Parish Library Events Center - Ruston, LA Please join The Louisiana Branch of the International Dyslexia Association and The Louisiana Center for Dyslexia & Related Learning Disorders for Unmasking Their Potential, Fall 2010, a conference for parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and anyone else interested in making a difference in the lives of students with dyslexia. Enjoy the presentation of our wonderful keynote speaker, participate in a series of breakout sessions, and spend some time visiting with our selected group of vendors. An added bonus is the opportunity to meet other parents, teachers, and tutors who have the same challenges and enjoy the same successes as you! Our Keynote Speaker: Sharon McMichael Sharon McMichael has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Education in Reading. She works as a middle school Dyslexia Specialist, Reading Teacher, and Technology Teacher in Austin, Texas where she advocates for children and parents. Sharon is trained in Basic Language Skills Beginning and Advanced Levels from Neuhaus Education Center in Houston, TX; Lindamood-Bell; Project Read; Slingerland; and is a certified Level 1 Wilson teacher. Sharon served 5 consecutive terms as the president of the Austin Area Branch of the International Dyslexia Association. Conference fees, including continental breakfast and lunch, are as follows:
