 Building Social-Emotional Skills Virtual Event Series: Session 3: Tackling the Tough Stuff: Addressing Social-Emotional Issues With Vulnerable Families  

When working with at-risk families of young children, home visitors need to know how to address complex issues with skill and sensitivity. In this event, you’ll learn how to intervene effectively with families facing one of the most common issues: social-emotional challenges.  This virtual event will give you a complete introduction to the to the problem-solving PAUSE (Perceive, Ask, Understand, Strategize, Evaluate) framework. Developed by the presenters, this framework provides relationship-based practices and reflective skills you can use in everyday interactions with children and families.

The 45 minute presentation will be followed by a 15 minute Q&A session with the presenters. Please note that if you are unable to attend live you can still register to be sent access to the recording.

Identifies reflective practice methods in home visiting and other early intervention fields
